Watches from NOMOS Glashütte are made almost entirely on site -from the first cog to the final quality control. Everything begins with the unpacking of the finest raw materials. Step by step, the finest parts are turned into a mechanical watch: pre-assembled, assembled, regulated, and finally fitted with a bracelet or strap. This combines the experience of over 175 years of Glashütte watchmaking with innovative, independent mechanics.

This is NOMOS Glashütte: Tangente, the round watch with the many right angles, embodies the Glashütte watchmaking company like no other. Tangente, our prizewinning classic for the wrist, has been a continuous bestseller for more than 30 years. Tangente always ticks as slender as a hand-wound, even if it is equipped with an automatic caliber—better still when with the neomatik caliber of the next generation.

Club

One of the most robust NOMOS timepieces. A watch without airs and graces, but one which always looks good -in meetings, while free running, or cutting a rug on the dance floor. Yet its inner values are just as convincing: with the high-end, handmade calibers from NOMOS ticking within. Attractive, robust, of the finest stock. Club always ticks reliably -thanks to the in-house built caliber within: sometimes automatic, sometimes hand-wound. The traditional form of a mechanical watch that operates exclusively with manual winding. Instead of being automatically powered by wrist movement, as in automatic watches, the wearer turns the crown to store energy in the mainspring that drives the movement. This process becomes a calm daily ritual, creating a tangible connection between the wearer and the long-standing tradition of watchmaking.

Automatic watches operate without a battery and are powered by the natural movement of the wearer’s wrist while being worn. This is achieved through a rotor that moves and transfers energy to the mainspring, the “battery” of the movement. As a result, the watch does not require manual winding when worn daily. If the watch is not worn for a few days, it can easily be restarted by giving the crown a few turns before wearing it again. Automatic watches are sustainable and durable, and with proper care they can last a lifetime. At NOMOS Glashütte, the term neomatik refers to a new generation of automatic movements that are exceptionally slim, efficient, and precise, combining elegance with technological excellence.

GMT watches are mechanical timepieces that display two time zones simultaneously: the local time and a second reference time. This function was originally designed for pilots but is equally useful for travelers, professionals, or anyone who needs to keep track of the time in another part of the world. A dedicated mechanism with a 24-hour hand or disc indicates the second time zone, completing one full rotation every 24 hours. The wearer can easily adjust the second time zone via the crown or a dedicated pusher, depending on the watch. While GMT watches display one additional time zone, worldtimer watches can show all time zones (typically 24) at the same time, using a city disc or a special scale on the dial. They are ideal for frequent international travelers or those with contacts across different time zones. These high-end mechanical watches combine elegance with everyday practicality.
